New Ground is a not for profit serving homeless families and veterans on Long Island since 1991. We focus on breaking the cycle of homelessness for both the adults and the children, with a focus on education. We work with our adults to go back to school, increase their education and thus earning potential and secure a career where they can support their family in the future. We also work with the children in the program to ensure that they are doing well in school and also achieving academic success. As part of breaking the cycle of homelessness, we also address areas of nutrition, parenting skills, financial literacy and much more. Zorn's has been a great supporter - in the past we have received donations including Thanksgiving feasts to raffle off at our fundraising events, helping raise much needed funds for our programs and services such as our Reading All Stars Program, Tutoring Program, Education Assistance Program, Special Memories Program, Getting Focused Program, and much more.
